Nothing pointed to a so fast parting
On Monday the Pope terminated his vacation in the South Tyrol. On Saturday of the same week its host died.

(kreuz.net) the bishop von Bozen Brixen, Mons. Wilhelm Egger OFMcap (68), died on Saturday evening at 19.20 o'clock surprisingly in its dwelling at the cathedral place 5 in Bozen.

With 32 years it attained a doctorate to the doctor of the Bible sciences and was active on it until 1986 as a tidy professor for New Testament at the philosophical-theological university Brixen.

On 29 July 1986 Wilhelm Egger was appointed to the Diözesanbischof of Bozen Brixen.

On 31 August of the same yearly it became in the cathedral to Brixen of its predecessor, Mons. Joseph lattice, to the bishop dedicated.

Wilhelm Egger was a president of the catholic Bible federation, chairman of the management commitee to the revision of the unit translation and representative for Ökumene in the regional bishop conference northeast Italy.
